HUMMUS BIT-TAHINI 

Tasty Lebanese dip made from garbanzo beans, lemon juice, garlic, and sesame oil, with a sprinkle of olive oil on top.

 

FETA CHEESE & OLIVES 

Freshly sliced tomatoes and cucumbers accompany the mildly salty Lebanese favorite which is topped with oregano and sits by marvelous black and green olives.

 

MAGDOOS 

(When in season and available) Eggplant stuffed with walnuts and seasoning.

 

 MEHSHE WARAK ARESH 

Grape Leaves stuffed with ground sirloin, rice and spices.  Served with Laban (yogurt).

 

BATINJAN MTABBLE 

Baked eggplant mashed with just the right touches of garlic, sesame oil, and lemon juice with a delicate sprinkling of olive oil.

 

LABNI 

A smooth dry yogurt made fresh in the Hedary’s kitchen from their own yogurt.  Similar to sour cream in texture, sprinkled

with olive oil.

 

LABNI MATOOM 

Dry yogurt mixed with garlic, dry mint, and a sprinkle of olive oil.

 

FALAFIL APPETIZER 

Five flavorful falafil are served to you with fresh vegetables and tarator sauce.

 

LENTIL SOUP   cup or bowl

Fresh cilantro and spinach are added  to potatoes and lentils along with a touch of lemon to perfect this Hedary specialty.

 

MAZA

Maza, loosely translated, means mini servings of many different salad dishes, the Lebanese eat small servings of several salad dishes for this “Maza”.  The Hedary Family varies the dishes in the Maza daily.  Order the Maza to introduce yourself to Lebanese food for it presents a good sampling of the Hedary’s salads.

TABBULI

The salad with mouth-tickling texture and taste.  Burghul (crushed wheat) mixed with parsley, onion, fresh tomato, and dressed with lemon juice and olive oil.

 

KHYAR BIL-LABAN

Crisp cucumbers, garlic, and a hint of mint folded into a refreshing yogurt salad.

 

HEDARY’S SALAD

Create your own delicious salad from these choices:  Lettuce, cucumber, tomato, dry mint & feta cheese.  Or just tell your server you want it with everything.  Dressed with freshly mashed garlic and olive oil.

 

FATUSH 

Tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, lettuce, and toasted Lebanese bread all mixed together and spiced with sumac, garlic and olive oil. 

 

TOMATO & ONION SALAD 

Fresh ripe tomatoes sliced with onions and seasoned with dry mint and olive oil.

 

LETTUCE SALAD 

Crisp romaine lettuce chopped and smothered with freshly smashed garlic, olive oil and red wine vinegar.

FTAYIR 

Our Lebanese bread stuffed with your choice of cheese, spinach or both.  All three ways are equally delicious.

 

LAHM BIL-AJIN 

Lebanese “pizza”.  A succulent mixture of ground sirloin, fresh tomatoes, onions, and spices baked on Lebanese bread.

 

FALAFIL SANDWICH 

A tasty mixture of fava and garbanzo beans deep fried and stuffed in Lebanese bread with fresh vegetables and tarator sauce (a perky mixture of lemon juice, parsley, and sesame oil).

 

SHAWARMA  SANDWICH 

Your choice of Ribeye steak, lamb or chicken sliced with tomatoes and onions then grilled and topped with tarator (sauce made with lemon juice, parsley, and sesame oil) then stuffed into our fresh, hot Lebanese bread

BEEF ENTREES MADE WITH FRESH LAMB TO ORDER ADD 1.50

LAHM MISHWI

Shish Kabob, tender and succulent ribeye cubed and charbroiled with fresh ripe

tomatoes and onion quarters laid on a bed of rice.

 

KAFTA

Finely ground sirloin with a savory blend of onion, parsley, and spices shaped into long, fat

links, charbroiled, and sit on a bed of rice, set off with grilled tomatoes and seasoned onions.

 

MQANIQ

Lebanese pork sausage that the Hedary’s make themselves with fresh pork, white wine,

coriander, and other tempting spices. Lemons are squeezed on the plump sausages right

before they are served with hot Lebanese bread.

 

SUJUK

A generous portion of the Hedary’s own hot beef sausage bathed in lemon juice and

brought to you with piping hot, fresh baked bread, and fresh tomato slices.

 

KIBBI

A mixture of ground beef or lamb (your choice) and burghul (cracked wheat) stuffed with

onions and spices. This inviting dome shaped Kibbi is grilled or fried to your preference.

 

KIBBI NYYI (RAW LAMB) WHEN AVAILABLE

A tasty mixture of raw, ground lamb and burghul (cracked wheat) and spices.

 Sprinkled with olive oil and served with fresh vegetables.

 

KIBBI NYYYI MAHMHAMSA

The raw Kibbi topped with fresh tomatoes cooked with ground sirloin, onions, and spices.

 

THE MEAT COMBINATION

A combination of the first five entrees served with seasoned onions,  grilled tomato

and rice.

 

SHISH  TAWUK

Tender chicken breasts seasoned lightly on skewers with bell peppers, tomatoes, and

onions – grilled to perfection and served  on a bed of rice.

 

SAUDET  DJAJ

Lemon-seasoned chicken livers skillet fried in olive oil, set off with Bosle (fresh onions

thinly sliced and sprinkled with parsley and spices).

 

FRAREJ

Chicken baked with potatoes and ripe tomatoes, baked together so that the juices and

 flavors from the chicken and vegetables permeate each other, basted until golden with

olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice.

 

BIFTECK

Charbroiled steak, the continental cut ribeye.  Tender, juicy 12-ounce steaks served

up with seasoned fresh onions, grilled tomato, and skillet fried potatoes.

 

CASTALETTA  GANAM

Lamb chops.  The marvelous taste of lamb at its best.  Perfectly charbroiled chops cut from

the fresh whole lamb.  Served with seasoned onions, grilled tomato and skillet fried potatoes.

 

FALAFIL  PLATE

The flavorful fava and garbanzo beans ground together, enhanced with onion,

coriander, garlic, and other spices.  A plate full of these deep fried, hand-shaped

balls come to you with freshly baked bread and fresh vegetables.

 

MEHSHE  WARAK  ARESH

Stuffed Grape Leaves.  Freshly ground sirloin mixed with rice provides the stuffing

for this world-renowned dish.

 

HUMMUS  MA-LAHM

Hummus Bit-Tahini topped with a mix of ground sirloin, onions, and spices.

A middle Eastern favorite – this magnifique dessert is prepared with feather-light

layers of filo pastry, pistachio nuts, sugar, and sweet butter.

 

SHABIET

Layers of filo pastry, shaped in a triangle and stuffed with our milk custard.

Topped with honey and crushed pistachios.

 

RICE PUDDING

This dessert is like no other.  Delicious with a hint of rosewater.
